Birthday Share 2016

Every year since my birth, we would celebrate it with people who matters most. So every year, I chose people to celebrate it with. We usually celebrate it with different advocacies I personally support and communities I work with. This day, I shared some gifts that my friends have prepared for the Haduan Community.

Haduan Community Outreach with the Pathfinders

Yesterday was the first outdoor class undertaken, parents came to see what possible learning their children will have. The objective of the trip was not for commercial toursim but rather an introduction to the first inhabitants of the Philippines. The children were shown how the ancient way of life, and they were taught the importance between the relationship of the environment and the people.

They learned first hand why I want them to help me advocate for the protection of the IP land, customs and tradition. Eventually they will be the leaders of the future.

Showing them the difference of the way of life, difficulties and simplicity of life will further hopefully make them more appreciative of what they have.

New Challenge New Role

I am formally invited to be part of Livingstone International School community as their outdoor class moderator. I have accepted the challenge and have given the proposal for an outdoor class that will be based on scouting method I have learned during my Girl Scout years.

This will also be the best platform that I can formally introduce the katutubo way of life (Indigenous People or group) to the children. The future leaders has to see beyond what the classroom portrays and the digital world shows about IP's. This way I can contribute more to the humane treatment of the IP's.

It is a voluntary based membership outdoor class and hopefully it will gather interest. It will officially be offered on the school opening. I am excited to impart values I have learned.

Give Love 2016

As part of our effort to support advocacies that at least create impact with the lives of others, this year my friends and I chose to celebrate our Month of Love to Ima's House. They have requested some supplies from us and we are delivering whatever we were able to gather.
